About the event

Holding Space with Oasis, KrASIA: This house believes that all VC investments should prioritize social impact

Description

The world is noisy place. Holding Space, KrASIA's first debate-talkshow, zeroes in on insightful discourse in a safe space. MOTION: This house believes that all VC investments should prioritize social impact DESCRIPTION: ESG or impact investing has become increasingly mainstream in the investment landscape. As more VCs adopt impact metrics, we seek to look at both sides of the equation - should impact always be placed first? And if not, why? We bring together four folks to engage in a friendly debate. On proposition, we have a partner at a leading impact VC firm and an impact-VC-turned-CIO of a mental health startup. Defending the opposition, a Gen Z VC and executive director of one of SEA's oldest VCs take the stage. SPEAKERS: Proposition: 1. Beau Seil, Partner & Co-Founder, Patamar Capital 2. Wen Li Lim, Chief Impact Officer, FlourishDx Opposition: 1. Puiyan Leung, Executive Director, Vertex Ventures 2. Ban Shen Ho, Associate, Protégé Ventures
